Probably not the best place to post this OP as there's a bunch of PC tech support subs around but I'm here anyway, Windows Defender is a one stop shop nowdays so you don't really need anything else but I use Malwarebytes as it also identifies Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP's) as well as malware.

i put this here because i wanted to make sure its accessible for the blind. and whats better, malwarebytes, or avast in general

Fair enough, I'd say get rid of Avast and go with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender as WD does everything Avast can do and it can respond to new threats much quicker due to it's large user base and Malwarebytes includes the PUPs I mentioned earlier in it's scans so is a very useful tool.

is malwarebytes compleatly free or does it have a free version? because i got notifications of a trial, and i was thinking, why have this if its gonna run out, or is that just for their ultra premium uber protection 9000

Ye it pretty much just let's you set schedules and a couple other advanced features you don't really need

I use avast antivirus but I only use windows magnifier to use my PC. I dont use Jaws or any OCR yet. Im not sure why theyre saying its bad. Unlike malwarebytes, avast actually stops viruses beforehand. Unlike having to scan after the fact with malwarebytes

well, i use it with nvda, and it works well

I also use Defender and Malware Bytes. Works pretty good so far.
