I’m 16 and legally blind and I just have the hardest time plugging my iPhone in. Like it doesn’t even matter what side because it’s a iPhone. But I can’t get it on the first or second or third try ever. It might just be me but maybe have a little silicone piece or 3d printed piece that you can slide onto the end of your charging cord that will help you line it up to your phone port. Lol imagine this already exist and I’m just the last to know about it though.

There is, in fact, something like that already. With magnets!

Check this out: https://www.architecturelab.net/best-magnetic-iphone-charging-cable/

Although, I find I'm faster plugging in cables than fully sighted people, because I don't look at them. Instead of going in straight ahead, go in diagonally, plug in just a corner of the cable and then straighten it out.

Ah well I did warn that i am the last to know about it or this stuff lol. But that’s so cool. I keep forgetting that I’m not fully sighted it’s like then just trying to do things the “normal” way (hinge making me not good at a lot of things) if that makes sense. Because I’m around only fully sighted people all the time and they never make me feel like I’m different. The one other thing I keep doing the sighted way is well I guess it’s not a way but I will stand in front of the mirror and look into like actually mimicking using the mirror to do my eyebrows. Like first off I don’t even need a mirror for that because it’s just a brow brush to fill in my brows it’s so easy that I got it down only the second time from my friend showing me. And also I can’t see my freaking face in a mirror all clear at all but it feels unnatural to not use a mirror. And sometimes I realize what I’m doing and so I chuckle and verbally say “what I’m I doing?” Also I think my phone case is in the way of feeling where to plug in the cord so I just decide to jab it in after like a second of touching it. So it fail over an over

Old habits die hard, as they say.

We find traditional magnifiers/magnifying glass don't help at all. Nor do binoculars.
