Can someone who is both completely deaf and blind still travel, and explore and enjoy it? (self.Blind)

I'm completely blind, I have travelled solo and it's great. For instance I got all the way from London to destinations like Tokyo, Los Angeles and New York without having anyone I know with me. You just call up all the places and people you're going to need help from and organise it. I've written up loads of howto stuff on this in the past and you can find that information here: $1

As to browsing in shops, yes, that is really hard and something that I wish I could do better. Would I like to be able to see what's going on around me, of course I would, but that is not available. The biggest issue is that it takes a huge amount of planning, which is annoying and time consuming. It feels like a bigger risk than it probably would otherwise. In the end though none of that is going to change any time soon, so it's that or don't do it.

The OP asked about deafblind people.

But is it still and are you able to tell the differences in the places you're at?

OK so I'm going to get a bit figurative here.

Do you know what I mean by walking out of a building that has air conditioning into the warm air of a place you've never been before? It's nothing specifically to do with being blind, I remember that feeling from when I was a kid. The idea of being somewhere new. If you're asking if I get that now, yes I absolutely do, even in places where it's not warm enough for that to happen. And the food is different and the traffic's different and yes it totally is still worth doing. I absolutely love travelling.

I know a few adults with Usher syndrome and while they do travel, they could not travel alone. But that might be because of their level.of severity. Toby giles has some hearing and hearing aids help him alot. They people i know have no useable vision or hearing so they do need someone more for communication. They use canes for mobility

Just on Google?

A lot of news articles have been written about him, so that'd be a good place to start, but he's also written books.
