Have vintage Jaws training tapes ever been digitized/ archived? (self.Blind)
submitted by rpglb_caturria
Hi all,
I've always been interested in the archival of vintage ephemera.
I remember JFW training tapes from the 3.X- 4.X days, and was wondering if these have ever been digitized and archived, or if they are available somewhere?
Perhaps someone has a set to sell?

Thanks.

I believe I might have digital versions of these tapes. Are you referring to the tapes that were read by Ted Henter?

I would assume so, yes.
I have no idea how many versions of these were put out.
I remember my copy of Jaws 4.02 as a kid shipping with tapes that were probably from a slightly older version (as they included the Dr. Jaws sequence during the installer which wasn't a thing in 4.X).
I would love to hear these again and reflect on days gone by.
Any chance you could upload them to Archive.org, or something to that effect?
Thank you.

I might at some point. In the meantime, here are the current JAWS tutorials I have, which are the basic training, installation, macro and smart screen tapes for JAWS 2.3, as well as a tutorial for JAWS 4, which might have been sourced from a different location. $11
