I had considered Clubhouse, but the fact that it's mobile-only and doesn't handle text well was a bit of a deterrent, a lot of people are shy about voice-centric communication. I also wasn't sure if the Android implementation would come soon enough, and so I thought Discord might be more adequate.

This is actually one of the servers that I mention in the post; basically I feel that it provides different things as VIP Lounge did, just as the existing gaming-centric one does. I would like a space that prioritises social activities over discussing things directly related to blindness. Nevertheless, it doesn't bother me that there's multiple servers for a thing, it's good that people have a choice in which ones they want to be in and it makes the community a bit less monolithic :)

Unfortunately that one has a powertripping mod with extreme views on what constitutes ableism and an itchy permaban finger, and an admin who refuses to stand up to her.
