Had a long convo with the admin. They are a leftist and anarchist belonging to several minority groups, yet still very interested in hearing others opinions, giving people warnings and explaining the issue when a boundary is crossed. They want to stand up for oppressed groups but not white knight for them, and they also take intent into consideration quite significantly on even touchy topics.
In essence, the exact opposite type of progressive from the one who permabanned a bunch of users for firmly but politely objecting to their extremely strict stance on ableism that was moderating on the last VIP Lounge replacement I was in. From the point of view of someone who considers them self a centrist and skeptic in most matters, I think this server is worth your time if you're interested in a VI community on discord. Time will tell of course, but it's looking good so far!

Be careful, A great YouTuber names Sam had to change his name from the Blind Spot to the Blind Life because the company that had that name threatened to legally come after him. Sam does great videos for the blind and low vision concerning technology.

Thanks for the heads up! We thought about it at the time of making it and figured the issue with Sam's channel was that it was monetized and it was a copyrighted brand, but settled on the name because we're not making money off it in any way. Still, if an issue arises, the name is the least important thing, haha

Hello! Sorry for taking literally ages to answer, life has been kicking my ass. I'm trying to figure out why you can't seem to type in #general (make sure you're there and not in the rules channel, though, which has the chat box deactivated). I gave you a provisional role, see if you can write now, and we can manually assign the roles to you.
