Can anyone recommend a company that sells very dark sunglasses (VLT less than 7%)? I've used Smith Optics in the past. They have some options in the 10% range but now I'm looking for darker (less light transmission). The company/site would need to incude VLT or similar data on their products. Thanks for your help.

Locs, my husband prefers these over other standard brands. However he really prefers his Zenni sunglasses, and some polarized lenses over other lenses as well.

I like my zennis, but they seem to have removed the option to choose the tint on sunglasses?

I can't answer your question directly, but I can tell you I have a pair of sunglasses that wasn't supposed to be possible. I insisted on my specific requirements, I was repeatedly told they could only do 2 out out the 3 total specific requirements. I told them to call whoever they needed to call and lo and behold, they did it!
The takeaway is that you can talk to a human you can get a custom order for pretty much whatever you need. You can even buy a pair of regular sunglasses and have them switch the lenses for a custom order.
However, 1% is very dark, and they do have other strengths. One thing I would warn, sometimes their build quality isn't the best. I have many clients who like them, but the pair I had broke in less than 2 weeks.

I just ordered a pair of Julbo Explorer 2 (Spectron lenses). It looks like they have a VLT of 5%. Still searching though, if others have ideas.
Update: I think Amazon may have the VLT wrong on these.
Update 2: these are slightly darker than my Smith sunglasses that have a VLT of nine or 10%. The brown lenses to help improve contrast but or not much darker than the Smith sunglasses.
