Hi. Maybe see am ophthalmologist instead of an optometrist if you feel that you need more specialized care. We can’t diagnose you, but your concerns are worth investigating with a trained doctor. You know your body best, so don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself. In the mean time, getting a new glasses prescription would probably help.

Hi, sighted glasses wearer here. I know it's scary when your eyesight goes bad really quickly. It was the same for me when I was your age. I had to get a new pair of glasses every six months because of how quickly my prescription changed. This is quite normal when you're a teen. Today I can't see more than a few inches/15 cm without glasses, but with them I can see fine. I am not your optician though so make sure you talk to them about any worries you have.

Visit an optha. Find blind-friendly hobbies. Let's be real here. If it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. All you can do is plan for it. Confirm it first though, obviously.
Good luck, kid.

Sighted person here, I'm not a doctor either but just wanted to share my thoughts to perhaps ease your concerns. My dad had some issues with sight because of diabetes, similar to what you described. (He is now on some medication to lessen the effects) however they were able to tell it was not related to his eye lens because no glasses could improve his vision. I'm thinking it might related to your lens since glasses were able to improve it, and those problems are easier to fix than other parts of your eye! So I'd say even if it worsens over time I'm sure there would be something to do about it medically.
Still, I'm no doctor, so get yourself checked if you are having any issues! I hope you the best.

I have no idea about your situation obviously but from personal experience, my eye sight got worse every six months to a year until I was an adult. That started in middle school and I had to get new glasses every. Single. Time. It leveled out as I got to my mid-20s and I can see fine with glasses. Without, it's like I'm underwater but it's still correctable.
