Hey friends, back in February I coordinated a peer-led support group for us Reddit users. It was conducted over zoom which seemed to work fine but now that Clubhouse is around we’re trying it out over there. It won’t be just Reddit users though there’s a good number of blind people on Clubhouse. Just wanted to extend the invite to you. We’re meeting tomorrow at 11am Pacific, 2pm Eastern, 6pm GMT.
If you’re not on Clubhouse yet then I have a few invites available. Any other Clubhouse users? I’m sure there are invites floating around since it’s become more popular. It’s still only available on the iPhone but I think Android isn’t far behind. Thanks!

I think now you can just invite them to your event and they can just join and sign up.

Do you mean through the link I provided? I don’t see anything to do this on the event page. I think you can if you own a club, but I don’t own the Blind & Low Vision club that is the host club. Let me know if you have specific directions. Thanks!

Yeah, I think you have to be the club owner I don’t think you can as a member but maybe I need to play with this more. Myself.
Who are you on there anyway?

Huge fan of Clubhouse. How did the room go? I know as a club owner, when I create an event now, it gives me a link to invite to up to 1,000 people. I know there's tons of invites floating around but in case anyone needs one, just LMK.

It was great! We ran for about 1.5 hrs and everyone had their piece to say. We’ll try to have this room every Tuesday and Thursday at 11am Pacific.
I don’t own the club so I don’t think I’m able to send out those invites. It’s the Blind & Low Vision Club which is available for anyone.
Join us on Thursday if you can! https://www.joinclubhouse.com/event/M16OzdQm

Android user so I'm SOL, I suppose. There seems to be a ClubDeck app alternative to use Clubhouse on PC/Mac/Android, but I'm too wary of the fan-made stuff.
Reddit also has something called RedditTalk, that is open to moderators only, to host voice chats, for now. That might be an alternative too, if other Android users can't/don't want to wait until summer release of Clubhouse on Android

Just wanted to let you know that Android beta is here.

Ya they say sometime in May, but I'd expect it to be a bit later on.
