What phone is good for a blind person (self.Blind)
submitted by Thelionking1222
My grandpa has recently become blind. He likes to call people and isn’t very good with technology. What would you recommend. He would like it to have buttons.

Maybe look into an Olitech or BlindShell. I wouldn’t recommend an iPhone or smartphone in general since there’s a learning curve and you said he’s not the greatest with tech and he prefers buttons.

IPhone is the most accessible

Find a suitable phone with $1 . Start an advanced search and select "Tactile Key Marker - '5'" from Vision Features.

If he just needs a phone, rather than a smart phone with all the extra pazazz Doro and Alcatel offer phones with buttons https://www.vodafone.co.uk/mobile/best-for/big-buttons

Are any smartphone features relevant for his life?
Is a landline OK, or will he actually move the phone around and remember to charge it?

$1.

He will carry it and charge it. Wireless charging would be a easy solution to charging too
