Hi
We are members of a research team at the university of washington, working on improving the accessibility of mobile interfaces. We are working on a project currently on helping BLV (blind or low vision) users to understand gifs and stickers. We collected human annotations of different gifs and would like to evaluate their quality, so we want to recruit BLV participants to provide feedback of the annotations. Ultimately, we will be implementing an Android application that can record the gif or sticker and collect annotations automatically.
If you are BLV users, speak English, have experience in using screen-readers, and have encountered gifs and stickers when using mobile devices, then you are eligible to participate in this study. We will conduct the study via zoom remotely, and during the study you will be asked to rate different annotations of several GIFs or stickers. The whole study will be approximately 1 hour, and the compensation is $15 amazon gift card.
If you are interested in participating the study, please send Ray an email, including your name, age, and visual impairment condition to
$1 The IRB of the study can be found in this link, it is a shared pdf on google drive:
$1 If you know anyone is BLV you can also forward this recruitment to them, thanks in advance!
Best,
Ray
