I recently came across

post on r/Lifehacks and that got me thinking, is any software like this usable with screen readers? I'd be interested in trying to learn this guys memorization hack, if possible. Thanks in advance.

I wrote a language learning guide that I also posted on this subreddit. For reference, here's the link:

TLDR: Yes, Anki, Babbel, $1, Clozemaster, Memrise and Quizlet all work with screenreaders up to a point, some just have some gotchas to be aware of :)

Quizlet has a better user experience in both iOS and Desktop than Anki.

Significantly less content though. I found the desktop browsing experience pretty crowded on the web but I haven't looked at it in several years. Anki on the web is pretty usable though, no idea about it's paid iOS app.
