It's realtime. It's a roguelike. You're meant to die a lot in order to get better. Dying moves the story along in fact. The reason it's blind-playable is the audio-design. EVERYTHING has a noise and the panning is excellent. It's very fast-paced but trust me, blind people can and do play it. Hell /u/bradley22 plays it all the time (he's a friend of mine on steam and I get pop ups often.)
Siralim Ultimate is turn-based and moves much slower as a result. MUCH slower. It's basically Pokemon for adults (complex as opposed to lewd.) If you give that a go, let me know. I have a font replacement you'll need if you want OCR to play nicely with it.
