Curious if there's any professional website consulting/accessibility work available? I tried applying for a testing position at BeeAccessible and no luck. I'm aware that there's a company in the UK hiring, but I'm not in the UK.

Out of curiosity, which company is doing it in the UK? Last I was looking for such thing, I found nothing remotely similar to it, would love to do it as a full time. I'm UK based, so would be worth a try.

I work at Google and we have a number of such openings now. The job title is Accessibility Analyst.
Some specific companies to try include Level Access, Deque, and Paciello Group, but in general you should find lots of similar positions on LinkedIn or other job sites.

Just out of curiosity, does somebody need to have some sort of certificate to do this sort of testing or is it a matter of being educated/comfortable with using screen reading software? I’ve always been curious about testing like this but don’t know how to go about getting a foot in the door in terms of being hired to do it. Being mostly at home, a job like this would really be great for me.

Try Fable Tech Labs and WeCo as well. Other than that, I'd just search for accessibility positions at companies on job sites.
