My grandma is going blind but would still like to read news articles online. Is there a TTS program you would recommend? (self.Blind)

What kind of device is your grandma comfortable using? A desktop computer? A smartphone? A $1 like Amazon Echo or Google Home?

$1.

>On Windows, this [screen reader] software may be $1 a free and open-source screen-reader for the Windows platform. On mac, a screen reader is built-in to every OS X computer, all the user needs to do is press command f5 (or command + Power Button (where the touch ID sensor is) on a mac with a touchbar) to turn it on. Screen-readers like $1 are available on Linux, as well.

>The subreddit FAQ goes over common screen readers for different operating systems

Thanks she'd be using a mac desktop probably with some assistance from her carer. Is the inbuilt mac one good? That's a great solution if so
