Hi everyone,
I’m currently working with a small group (less than 10 people) in the ARIA-AT Community Group to develop a workshop series that aims to better understand current barriers to usage of screen readers and other assistive technologies (ATs) and identify opportunities to develop the ARIA-AT web app (
$1).
We’re currently looking for 1-2 U.S.-based people who have lived experience using screen readers to co-design solutions with us. You do not need any design skills to participate, and you do not need to be a professional tester.
The workshop consists of three meetings: the first two meetings will run as two, 2-hour workshops during the week of June 13th: on Tuesday, June 15th and on Thursday, June 17th.
The third and last session will run for 1 hour on or around July 8th and will involve a review of the implementation of what we co-create during the first two sessions.
I will be working with all members of this team to find a common time that works for everyone.
As a small token of appreciation for participation, we’ll also provide participants with an honorarium of $599 for participation in all the sessions.
Do you know anyone who might be interested and available to participating in this workshop? If so, please email me at
$1.
Thank you!
