Where can I have a custom letter in braille created? (self.Blind)
submitted by MNOlsson
(Or if anyone here has access to the materials, I'd be willing to pay to have something shipped out.)

Update folks: I found an Etsy shop that does custom braille greeting cards in grade 1 and 2. The shop owner, Amber, agreed to help me with a rush order. Wanted to link her here: $1

I don’t have a website or a way to get it done but I do have some advice. If you find something online, be wary of braillebookstore .com. I got a Braille letter done for my boyfriend there and it came perfectly but, my debit card info was stolen through that website. How did I know? With that card I’ve only used it for Uber eats and that website, and Uber eats has never given me any problems, so the culprit was that website. Had to change my debit card number and cancel the charge that was made ($70 on aliexpress) but I was too broke back then so it didn’t go through thankfully lol. Just be careful when looking at websites to make Braille letters if that’s what you choose.

I actually ordered from them recently but my letter came wrinkled. I'm going to... change my card now just to be safe. Thank you so much for that.

You’re welcome!:) I came to find out on this subreddit that the same thing happened to some other people on here too, so I’m glad to pass on the info to be careful with that website.

Find a local blindness organization or braille production agency. Where are you located?

Los Angeles, California. So weird, have been struggling to find something online.

Try the San Francisco Lighthouse. There are probably equally good organizations closer to you, but the SF Lighthouse is quite a large and well-known blindness organization.
