Vacation sighted assistants in the Austin area (self.Blind)

Hey, planning on taking a break and booking a vacation. Single and travelling alone, but wondering if there are any provisions for, I guess a holiday buddy? πΉ I know there are agents which can do this, but wondered if there was any pointers for locals in the district or ideas?

Looking for an assistant, for the duration of the trip, probably for up to a couple of weeks. Iβm totally blind and was looking to get a feel for the city, nothing extreme (unless the person is up for that) as I donβt mind the outdoors etc. But happy with catching the local life and atmosphere etc π

I know encounters travel do something similar but for package holidays. Would the local association for the blind, lighthouse or be my eyes have options or volunteers?

Thanks, I reached out to NFB on Facebook, but will give those a try. Problem is few do specific holidays, but will keep trying π take care
