Matthew Shifrin, the guy who helped convince Lego to make build instructions accessible to the blind, now has a podcast on Radiotopia called "Blind Guy Travels." The podcast is targeted more at sighted folks who may wonder what the life of a blind person is like, but Matt's such an engaging speaker that I think everyone would enjoy it.
In the short Prologue, Matt addresses the sighted audience as he explains what it's like to be a blind person
>...going to the movies, using a dating app, or building a Lego set, and to make you say, "Huh, I never thought of it that way before."

A number of sighted readers pop by r/Blind now and then, and I hope that resources like Matt's podcast help them learn more about the experiences of people who are blind. As considerate as members of r/Blind have been answering the same old questions over and over, I strongly encourage sighted folks to learn what they can on their own time and then come back.

"README for Sighted Visitors thinking about making assistive technology"
$1 I wrote and edited the README with input from the group in the hope that the post would (a) reduce the number of repetitive posts from sighted visitors, and (b) give people committed to developing assistive technology a leg up in their early research.
