Do not hold out and get invested into a relationship that might be doomed. Get it out now and make sure you have all your cards on the table. Why hold back?

I normally wait a month or two to make sure it’s just not a crush I have (I get them suuuuper easy!) I’d say casually mention you’re blind like if they’re suggesting ideas for hanging out, be like “I’m blind so I might need some accommodations for X thing”

I was very upfront with my wife when I met her about my hearing loss and what not. Literally the first thing I told her was “If you see me staring at your lips, its cus im lip reading”. My blindness only set in about a year or so ago, but I make it an effort to be upfront with everyone. It hasnt failed me yet and Ive been much happier since. I have a tattoo on my forearm of crappy events in my life that I wish didnt happen, but I have them tattooed because I wear my life on my sleeve. Best thing Ive ever chose to do.
