Project Managment tools and Screen readers (self.Blind)
submitted by abbynormall22
Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of any data/project management things like trello, or asana, or any database type thing that is collaborative and works with screenreaders specifically JAWS software.

Our team needs to be able to track the status of where we are at with a client, we need to have client contact info then what staff is assigned to them where they are at in the process, next steps, notes, things like that. I have been having the hardest time finding something that works, we have been getting by using google sheets but its not really working for us

I have found Trello to be usable, though I admit I am an NVDA user. I also use the iPhone app occasionally with it as well. It’s pretty good.

Not an answer for now, but ClickUp has started focusing on making their platform Screen Reader accessible, as well as compliant with WCAG standards.

A great place to ask would be r/BlindDevelopers

To know about the $1 you should definitely go through toolowl .The company is powered by intelligence of few experienced, inexperienced, trained, untrained, laymen, domain experts, and business/technology acquainted people or experts. They all work as a team to identify key performance indicators for a particular tool from Individual’s as well as Business’ point of view.

I use Asana every single day with my team and though there are some small issues, they can be worked around and it is incredibly useable. Happy to help you out if you get stuck somewhere. My best advice is to view everything in board view.

I should add that I use Jaws with Google Chrome, though it also works quite well with NVDA.

Thank you so much! We will try this out today! We found some that said will work with screenreaders like JAWs and yes they technically work with it but it is a navigational nightmare! lol
