Literally every ophthalmologist I’ve seen has checked my eye pressure. They do it twice, once by their nurse with a Tonapen and the second time by the doctor with the slit lamp thing. I would see somebody else if possible

Go to a different DR. If you don’t advicate for your self medically, then no one will.

Not to defend your doctor. But I work as an ophthalmology technician, and one way the Dr will assess for glaucoma is to look at your cup to disc ratio in your eye. Basically the size of your disc surrounding your ocular nerve. 0.1 - 0.4 is normal, if it is higher then they become concerned and order more testing. Ocular hypertension doesnt always mean glaucoma. However though, they really should have checked your pressures, my office checks pressures on every patient to be safe.

yeah, but one thing is this isnt the first time its happend, fourth time if im correct, and ive had surgery for it two times, though i wasn't at my usual hospital that probably explains why they weren't too keen on doing it, one of my eyes are stuck looking at the side so they couldn't exactly see it too well either

Gotcha, they might not have an alternative way to take your pressure, which would be weird. We have a tonopen to take pressures when we cant applanate. I would look at other Drs if it was me.

Huh. I've experienced a sort of "I didn't start this, I'm not touching it" attitude. I just walked away. There's no use trying to convince somebody who isn't comfortable with the situation.
