[Compensated] Recruiting to test a prototype for a text entry study (self.Blind)
submitted by Internal_Perception
Hello everyone, I am a PhD student at Cornell Tech's Enhancing Ability Lab (NYC).
Our research groups at Cornell and the Michigan Technological University are studying the accessibility of text entry for users with visual impairments, particularly whether it’s possible to use our prototype for text entry. For this first iteration, we’ve created an online website with an accessible keyboard and we’re conducting a study to gather information about our prototype. We’re recruiting participants who are 18 or older, are based in the United States, and have LOW VISION (We have enough blind participants) to test the feasibility of our prototype. All you need to participate in is to have a smartphone.
This study will be done remotely over Zoom.
Your identity will be kept completely anonymous if we publish the results of the study. Participation would take up to an hour (expected 45 minutes total), and we would provide a $15 Amazon gift card as compensation for your time. Keep in mind that for this first iteration, we only need a small number of participants, but we can keep you in mind for the next iteration so feel free to contact us!
Ask any questions down below if anything is not clear or you are confused about something and thank you for your time!
If you’re interested in participating, please DM me (or leave a reply) so we can get in contact and schedule a date to do the study.
