Do we have a comprehensive list of video streaming services and the status of audio description on them? (self.Blind)
submitted by SLJ7
Here's what I think I know:

* Apple TV Plus: All original content
* Netflix: All original content and many other shows
* Disney Plus: Most new content
* Prime Video: Mixed bag and mostly unknown
* HBO Max: Barely anything (though apparently In The Heights is audio described)
* Hulu: Just getting around to it this year but quantity unknown
* Anything else: No idea

Not that lack of AD is a dealbreaker, but it'd sure be nice to know what to expect. As I find out more I can edit this post. I know Netflix also has a dedicated page for AD content, which is really helpful.

Apologies if this is not new to you, but in case you or anyone else is unaware of this site.

Seems like one of the most comprehensive sites around.

For what it's worth, I describe games to the blind as a hobby. I'm not very good at it but I don't see anyone else doing it so I'm what you've got until someone whose eyes and lungs work wants to do it. I take requests and need input. Badly.

Saving this and subscribing. I think you'll find a lot of people just like watching people play games, and as long as they can get the general idea, you don't have to be fantastic at it.

Share it around if you would. I'm horrible at marketing. I know blind people want to experience games same as sighted and if I'm not working with devs to make that happen, I'm doing this (the next best thing.)

You are amazing and I love what you do as a visually impaired person who wants to play games herself but can’t thank you so much

No problem. Tell your friends. I'm horrible at marketing. I just want more blind people to experience these games, even though I'm not quite right for the job what with my own crap eyes and worse lungs.

I also bug devs to make games more accessible. I stick with indie games because they're easier to make playable and I like the devs more, I find. Siralim Ultimate is blind-playable if you use OCR and switch the font. Dev added a walk sound you can turn on in the options and the font switching is a simple copy/paste.
