Question: Anyone else having issues with facebook Messenger on the Iphone? (self.Blind)
submitted by lightsrage85
Hey, I kkeep my apps up to date automatically usually this is not a problem for me. Now when i open messenger though all i see is my status bar and a blank screen is anyone else getting this? It was totally different the oter day so i was wondering if another update had come out and i thought i would try it since a friend of mine hadn’t noticed the changes i did. So i went in tonight and had the blank screen. I still hear messages come in but cannot interact with the application at all good news i can use it on my computer. Now i see why i like telegram better. I can at least find accessible work arounds for it. If anyone has an idea to fix this i am so looking for one i tried removing and redownloading the app closing out of the app in app switcher killing vo and tapping on the screen nothing worked. All i have to say is good luck. I am running the latest release of ios i believe its 14.6 something. I keep that up to date automatically too.

It happened to me awhile back, just turn off screen recognition it must've turned it on accidentally, do it from settings manually because it might not appear in router

Yes, I had screen recognition on. It must up a whole bunch of apps.

Show it to a sighted person in the unlikely case that there's a message on the screen that VoiceOver can't detect. You could also try Screen Recognition.

You could also reinstall the app.

It was screen recognition! I am such a dork sometimes!

Not at all. Many VoiceOver users—even seasoned ones—are experiencing accessibility issues due to having screen recognition enabled when it isn't needed.
