One of the coolest things ever. He got to touch history and that's something many people can't ever do.

I thought so I was in awe by how nice everyone one! The security guard took our photos and everything

Very awesome! A security guard came up and asked "how much can you see?" And he said "nothing at all" she gave him gloves and we skipped the long line for the bell and he got to touch it for a good 6 minutes and we got pictures and everyone was fine with it they just thought it was cool that he was touching it. Definitely the best government tour I have ever seen for accessibility.

That is awesome, as a blind person I would be honored! So cool..

Video is of my grandfather with thin latex gloves touching the liberty Bell being able to feel freely while the security guard told him what it said and was.

It is SO awesome. Some museums do it too here in Brazil. When my wife and I were in London, they let her use the iPad as a digital magnifier to see the crown jewels (she has 20/400 low vision), in a room where phones aren't permitted. Paris and London museums are ultra nice to blind people.

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly does 20/400 low vision mean? Also that's awesome.
SearchChoice 1 points 2y ago
It means that she sees at 20 meters, what a normal person would see at 400 meters. So if you do 20÷400 then her eyesight is 0.05% of what it should be.

Very nice!

In Scotland people are kind too. When visiting the Roselyn Chapel (the one from Dan Brown) they brought my wife replicas to touch (of the ornaments on the ceiling), but let her touch also the walls etcetera
