Have a look at BeSpecular. I'm not sure if it's a volunteer thing or not. I'm not using it.

You didn't say which platform - if you are on iOS, SeeingAI by Microsoft is free and is great - it can do document OCR, color recognition, currency, scene description, etc.

On Android, for reading print on paper, like mail and labels, I've been using Sullivan+. Its cloud AI. It does that very well. It also does image recognition but with limited capacity

Hi there,

Try the app called "Lookout by Google".

Its a camera app that tells you what you are pointing your camera too. So if you point your camera to a paper with words it tells you what it says. If you point your camera to a cat, it will tell you you are looking at a cat. Its really neat!
