You're a prince among men. Nobody has a sense of humor anymore so I have to pre-emptively defend every joke. Imagine if Dennis Miller with his multitudinous layers of reference, inference, and sub-both-of-those-things had to do that.

I know when a sited person is my friend because they'll make blind jokes without feeling bad about it, it's one of the most obvious signs.

I always lead with the disabled jokes so able-bodies aren't so uncomfortable about it. It lets them know that yes, I don't take myself too seriously and yes, you can make jokes too.
