Hi all, new to the group.

I am a V.I.P. I am finding it extremely difficult to meet a new partner because of my eye sight and not being able to focus on somebody's face etc. My confidence is rock bottom at the moment and would like some advice on were to go or what to do.

I've just quit Match.com, that was a complete waste of money and time. Now really stuck.

Any advice would be great πŸ˜€

I think this is a patience game more than anything else. If you can, get help with creating a good profile and especially profile pictures. Concentrate on your strengths instead of trying to conform to societal expectations. What is the big deal if you can't focus on their face? Do you like the other person's voice? I generally prefer to say in my profile that I am blind but this is up to you. I think it is much better not to mention it. Try some of the other apps like Bumble or Tinder. Bumble app is not very accessible but the website is OK. Same thing with Tinder. The website is a lot more accessible. The other thing is join local groups if you can. There are a few blind dating groups on Facebook but I find that the folks there are a bit jaded. Good luck and remember, this is a patience game.

Yep, you've got some very good points there. I do try stay positive and yes I also do mention that I do have a visual impairment, it is only being honest and fair to the other person. I've also been on Tinder and didn't get far with that either, I'll try Bumble. I'm not a Very photo-genic person, so don't know what to do there. My profile text may need working on, but who do I ask?

Thank you very much for you advise πŸ‘πŸ‘

I think there is a sub called r/r4r or some such.

If you do not want children, try r/cf4cf.

Thanks, I subscribe to cf4cf :)

I've always been intrigued by the matchmaking company the "undateables" stems from. Flame Introductions, they have permanently closed but there might be a similar acency

Yes, I've heard of them too. They ran out of funds.

I tried them. For a match making service they’re cheep but the match rate for me was bad.

I got one date out of either six months or a year, I can’t remember. Oh and there stuff is mostly offline, there’s no databass to go through the profiles or anything.
