JAWS and PalTalk app on laptop? (self.Blind)

I'm trying to assist someone who uses a screen-reader with getting their PalTalk working for them.
On previous versions of PalTalk, JAWS seemed to work fine with reading everything. Now, it still works on her phone and tablet, but she got a new laptop and we installed PalTalk on that one. JAWS will read the room names, but once in a room, JAWS cannot read any of the chat.
Any ideas as to why, or how we can solve this? Is there a place to download the previous versions of PalTalk that do work with JAWS?

oldversion.com has Software Version Paltalk 8.2.114
but given it's a network service, updates are probably more important than with your generic app or tool.
