Chinese Name Pronounciation Corrections for NVDA/Narrator? (self.Blind)

My Googlefu is failing me on how to fix this in NVDA and Narrator/Windows 10.
I read Chinese web novels and every so often a character is named BU, like Lu Bu from Romance of the Three Kingdoms or Dynasty Warriors games. NVDA, and by default Narrator, pronounces the name as bulletin? or something similar.
I thought I could fix this by changin the locales/en/cldr.dict file as I was also trying to stop "as" from being read as American Samoa sometimes too. However, nothing changed, so I thought it was a NVDA issue, but it does the same in Narrator for Windows 10. This leads me to believe the issue is with Narrator's dictionary, but I can't seem to find the relevant file or registry entry to fix it.
Has anyone else run into this issue or know where to fix it?

I think you can add the specific names to NVDA’S dictionary with the correct pronunciation, i.E, some different speling which the voice you like pronounce closer to the original.

Yep, dictionaries fixed the names that have no symbol definitions. Though it doesn't work on "as" because Windows is overriding it somewhere. I even tried removing and replacing it in CLDR.dict, but no biggie. Main question is fixed at least. :)

this can be done in NVDA by adding the entry or entries into the voice dictionary (or even the default dictionary? not even sure of the difference between the two)
to add an entry into the dictionary, press NVDA key + N to bring up the NVDA menu, navigate to preferences (P), speech dictionary (D), then either the default dictionary (D) or the voice dictionary (V). once the dialog box pops up for whichever option you choose, you can then select the add button and add yoru new entry. the rest of the steps from after you open the dialog box should be pretty self-explanitory, such as enter the word, tab to the next box and enter the correct pronunciation, add a comment if you'd like and case sensitivity, then hit the ok button when you're done. don't forget to press ok on the dictionary dialog box as well or the entry won't work.
give this a shot and let us know if you're still running into this issue.

Dictionary trick worked for Bu, forgot it would do that or maybe it didn't work before I updated NVDA today? Hard to tell since I had updates disabled for awhile to avoid losing my temp dictionary.
"as" being said as American Samoa still happens sporadically, but it's just a weird bug at this point and only a side thought.

BTW on dictionary diffferences
Default dictionary is shared across all voices. Voice dictionary is specific to the one you are using currently. So if you change between say, Microsoft Sierra and Microsoft David, the voice dictionary changes too.
Voice dictionaries can also be copied easily by going to %appdata%/NVDA/speechDicts/ and copying the contents of the voice dicts files from one to another.
