Hunting for an easy to use air fryer for somebody who is totally blind... (self.Blind)
submitted by guitarandbooks
Hey everybody! I am on the hunt for a large capacity air fryer that is useable by a totally blind person.

I bought a large air fryer off amazon which has the form factor of a countertop convection oven. It works quite well, however, it has a touch screen and even if you have bump dots on it for example, the thing is so sensitive that even when you are trying to gently feel for a dot to find a certain control, you end up hitting other buttons. This thing is driving me nuts and I can't use it without sighted assistance.

can anybody recommend a large capacity air fryer that has actual buttons you press, or, dials perhaps? Thanks.

I bought my wife, who is blind, the Insignia Air Fryer from Best Buy. She likes it since there is only 2 dials, left for temp and right for time. I just made marks to indicate every 10 minutes and 350 and 400 degrees. The size is 5.1 quarts, it's about medium size but it's the biggest I could find that she can use. We're in Canada so not much of a selection.

I have an Actifry and it works well. The app is also quite accessible on IOS.
