Any quality talking kitchen scale recommendations? (self.Blind)

I obessively track my food and need a talking scale. I've been using this one from Amazon and it works great for my needs.

The problem is, I'm on my fourth one. They tend to break fairly easily. Are there any quality talking scales out there I should look into?
I forget the name of it, but there was a smaller scale I used that connected to your phone and your phone would read it to you, but that was really cumbersome.

I have a talking scale that measures in ounces and grams. I used it for school and I still have it three years later, I bought it for Maxi aids.
The only downside is it takes batteries and is it rechargeable

They have to be plugged into a wall mains adapter if you don't want to use PP3 batteries. The little switch on the side that selects OFF / Metric grams / Imperial ounces is a bit fiddly but does the job. The pan base can be fiddly to refit if removed for cleaning. Overall it works quite well.

Can you use the scale without the pan/bowl?

Yes.
The base sits on the scales with a locator pin underneath in the middle that centres it on the weighing mechanism. The base is flat and suitable for putting any other cup, dish, bowl or pan on it.
The supplied bowl has a lip around the bottom that fits snugly onto the base for stability.
The model currently available is described at Mark 5, I don't know what version we have, or if it is significantly different, but it looks the same.
