PAID STUDY: More inclusive packaging for mainstream personal products (USA) (self.Blind)
submitted by lozzysq
*\[mod-approved post\]*

Hi! I'm a consumer market researcher, and I'm currently working with a household-name multinational company that is trying to develop a new packaging type that improves the usage experience of mainstream personal products for people with various physical disabilities. Within this research, we want to make sure we're representing the wants and needs of the visually impaired community.

**This is a paid study**, for which you will receive a monetary incentive upon your completion of the market research.

My team is running product trials in the USA, and we're looking for respondents who meet the below spec and are happy to talk to us about their current personal products (i.e shampoos, lotions, deodorant, etc.), trial some existing products that we courier to them in the post and give feedback on a new packaging prototype that we send. Responses will be confidential and will not be able to be accessed by other respondents in the study.

**The recruitment spec is:**

*- aged 18-55*

*- located in mainland USA*

*- experiencing challenge/s due to physical disability that make using personal products more difficult (this might be due to visual impairment, but could also be because of upper limb weakness, mobility issues or amputation, etc.)*

*- regularly use deodorant/antiperspirant products (5+ times a week)*

*- sole or joint decision-maker of which personal products to purchase*

Taking part in this research has the potential to greatly help so many people who currently struggle with using the personal products that are available on the market at the moment. We'd love to have some really eager people on board who can tell us all about their experiences and opinions so that we can make improvements to launch the best product we can!

The market research will be in the form of either a 7-day online community with tasks set on the platform every couple of days (you can choose to make written or video contributions), or 3 x 60 minute phone/video calls with a professional moderator.

If you or a friend are interested, please dm me and I'll forward details on to our screening team :)

Thanks for reading!

So… Am I disqualified because I don’t wear deodorant?

Unfortunately yes. We would like to hear about your experiences with what's currently on the deo market so that we can learn from good examples of packaging and alleviate any painpoints with the new design.

Thanks for sharing.

So you need blind monkeys to product test chemicals on?

It's testing the design and usability of packaging only. There is no actual product in the prototype.

There is a box of other products we ask you to feed back on, but they are all fully approved and available on supermarket shelves already. Again, we're just testing the pack usability experience of these, not the product itself.
