VoiceOver accessible IF Interpreter for Mac? (self.Blind)

Hi community!
A friend of mine has been captivated by a text adventure I was playing using frotz on my phone. She wants to do it on her mac, but I have no idea what app will work well with VO.
I don't think she has a new enough Mac to run an iOS app. Does anyone play IF here on OSX? Or perhaps is there a reasonable terminal tool?

There's the old-school frotz for the command line but I have doubts about how pleasant the VO terminal experience will let that be. There's also Lectrode, which is much more modern and works quite well as it's basically like a web browser. This is probably what I would recommend. It has the advantage of supporting other interactive fiction formats.
