maybe not on this sub, but i have read thousands of times, "if you're blind, how can you read this?"

my carrier pidgeons deliver your posts and comments in braille, duh

Yep exactly they think I’m lying because I’m able to use technology. Like really technology can I do a lot of things but they don’t think it’s advanced enough to allow visually impaired people to use it? Like no I even play video games

Honestly, this question is asked a lot on here and I've been deleting them every single time I catch it. It's a stupid question but a meaningful question. I get why they ask, but damn...

I just say, "Taste." Usually shuts them up.

honestly the funniest thing I've ever seen was when I went to dinner with my boss who was blind RIP :( and when the waitress came to the table she started asking what I would like to order. When she noticed my boss was blind she asked her LOUDLY would she like for her to let her know whats on the menu and apologizing multiple times for not having braille menus. My boss was a quick whit woman and without missing a beat I'm blind and not deaf and I'm not sure who the hell that brialle menu would be for since I can't read that shit either. lol I lost my shit.

I answered a post a while ago, about this. ”Explaining” how we wave our hands in front of the screen and feel the heat. I mean this is Reddit, good questions like that!

Not on this sub, but I had an ultrasound technician asked me if I needed help getting dressed?! I was so tempted to come out of the room with my panties over my jeans just to screw with her.

Oh my lord. I'm sorry but this is hilarious.

on a different sub someone actually said.

"blindness isn't an actual disability it is a lifestyle choice."

i still do not know if they were trolling or not.
gunfart 9 points 1y ago
Wait you mean I’m supposed to keep my eyelids open the whole time?
Laser_Lens_4 4 points 1y ago
I suspect they were either exceptionally ignorant, trolling, or high on some substance yet undiscovered by Humanity at large.

What the... Just, I can't with people. Argh!

Can you tell me your inspiring story life about blindness so i could write a book/comic for sighted ones? (For free without mentioning you for fictional character)

Can you do this for free because it's about your disability (presentation, article, video, awareness spreading etc)?

This very question was asked yesterday! Make it stop!
