Any Canadians using TV's Described Video feature here? (self.Blind)
submitted by Curious_Jean
I'm just a small hand in the Described Video business wondering if there was something we could do to make our scripts better. Anyone here using the described Video feature on television willing to share their feedback?

Honestly the main feedback I'd give would be make it easier to enable in the first place. We've got cable here that apparently airs described tv. In an ironic twist I need a sighted person to actually turn it on. This makes it pretty much useless to me because they can't be convinced to get the cable service that lets you turn it on with voice control.

Unfortunately that is out of my area of expertise, I'm a scriptwriter... It does sound absurd though! Isn't there a way to have it always turned on? Speaking of irony, I don't own a TV, so I could not help with this...

If I had my own TV with cable box probably, but since I just use the family TV they can't be convinced to constantly leave it on. Honestly though when I can get it working, scripts seem to be great. Netflix is sadly different, but hey.
