this might be a silly question, but do you even have voiceover enabled on your apple watch? i too own a series 4 on the latest watch firmware, and i just grabbed mine to test it out and rotator gestures work just fine without having to enable anything.

the rotor gesture does not work if you do not have voiceover enabled. voiceover can be turned on/off from the settings menu, or by triple clicking the digital crown on the watch. there wouldn’t be anything else preventing the rotor gesture unless voiceover wasn’t on, or it isn’t an apple watch.

Yeah VoiceOver is definitely on. Thanks for trying to help though.

alright, one last question:

do you have an option called ‘rotor languages’ found within the iphone watch app? it can be found by navigating to watch app > accessibility. > voiceover > rotor languages

this would be found at the bottom of the voiceover menu in the watch app on the phone. if this doesn’t exist, then you are either not running at least watch os 7 (released in september of 2020), or you have a series 3 apple watch. these would be the only reasons why you wouldn’t hav this function.

Thanks for the help but I managed to figure out the issue. I had zoom enabled on my Apple Watch and for some reason with zoom enabled the rotor gesture doesn’t work.

Interesting! That’s a new one that I will make note of, thanks!
