I have RP caused by the USH2A mutation, but I don't have hearing loss so technically I don't have Usher syndrome type 2.

Joined! I'm not sure I'll fit in since I don't have the hearing loss, but I always want to be connected to other people in the blind/low vision community so thanks!

Could you elaborate on that some more?
I ask because I was looking through the primary literature and I have found papers that say there is an Ushers Type 2a mutation that is non-symptomatic (no hearing loss), but they still categorized it as Ushers Syndrome.
