I just got an apple watch as a gift and I use it with voice over. As of now, I don’t see any other use for it except discretely telling the time which I’m excited about. since I’d been wanting an accessible watch, but I was wondering if there’s any other accessibility related apps that I should know about. Thanks in advance.

I’d like to use my Apple Watch when I go for a walk to record my workout. There are a lot of exercise functions. Also there are some banking apps that work with voiceover on the Apple Watch. Also if you have an Apple TV set top box, you can use the Apple Watch as a remote control and change the channel or movies that you were watching. I have missed placed my Apple TV remote but I did not have to worry, because the Apple Watch remote app works very fluidly across all devices. I also use my Apple Watch to unlock my MacBook computer.

Please, what exercise functions does Apple Watch have?

AppleVis has a directory of accessible Apple Watch apps. It would be a shame to use it just for telling the time when it can do so much more.

I use my Apple Watch for time (obviously), reminders is a good build in app, alarms, MLB if you like baseball, the calculator is good, I use it for messages and phone calls, I use the weather app a lot. I use a lot of the built in apps. The only downloaded apps I use are MLB, and Streaks (which is like a daily tracker). But the Streaks app can sometimes be tricky with Voiceover.
Our mission is to provide everyone with access to large- scale community websites for the good of humanity. Without ads, without tracking, without greed.
