I am registered blind with very poor vision. I am also colourblind. I see colour but can sometimes struggle to differentiate from oranges/pinks and greens/blues/purples. I find a lot of shade names are not that descriptive of the actual colour. I know what colours go well together, but if a use a blush named ‘thunder’ and a lipstick named ‘live it up’ it can be difficult to tell if they will work. If more products had a description of the actual colour, this would be helpful.
Another issue I have found is going into shops, a lot of products have tiny writing for the shade names. I typically use my iPhone to take a photo of the packaging and zoom in to find the shade. However, so many products have mirrored, reflective packaging, which makes it so hard to get the camera to focus on the writing. If the writing was on a matte/less reflective packaging, reading it would be much easier.
One other thing that would be nice is high quality brushes that had white hair, so it would be easier to see how much product was picked up on the brush, and it can be difficult to actually see on my face if my makeup is even, and always ask for my partner to check this for me.
