Suggestions for a telephone with answering machine with a high-contrast LCD screen?(self.Blind)
submitted by rkarl7777
I'm VI and am having a tough time reading the display settings on my (landline) telephone with answering machine. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement with a high-contrast, easy to read LCD screen?
Or, how else can I record in-coming calls to my landline? Thank you!

our cordless handsets have a built-in answering machine, but also a brilliant array of hashcodes. Rather than having to navigate through a menu to find options you mayn't be able to read, you simply enter a code
Want to change the ringer melody? key #161.
ringer too loud or too quiet? Key #160.
Want to listen to new messages? #323.
And so on.
Ours is a Panasonic KX-TG8563E Digital Cordless Answering System. The manual lists a bunch of TG models. Good luck.

Thank you, I'll look that up. Question: Where are all the hashcodes listed? If there are over 300 of them, I have to wonder how big the type is.

in the manual. A fully-sighted user might never use them, if they can read the menu on the screen. I have no sight at all, so for me, without a device that speaks, this is the best thing I've found
