Other people. Who, where, what, why, and how. Who’s there. Where are they. What are they sitting, or lying, on or standing near. Why are we here? Is it a meeting? Social settin? Party? How long will we be here. So should I sit, stand, relax, be ready to leave soon?

People. Who's where. Furniture. What can I sit on or potentialy run into?

Without question, people. Not being able to see people's expressions, recognize faces, or know right away who I'm talking to is depressing and disconcerting. I also hate having to stand and wait for people to come talk to me instead of being able to mingle and seek people out.

Some blind people can hear things that are waist-level or higher, which means they can hear walls or other tall obstacles. If blind people are trained in mobility, they can use a cane or a dog and obstacles will not bother them. If they're new to blindness, however, it may be a good idea to explain what's around them. I myself like to know if there are others in the room. Everyone is different, though. Don't be afraid to ask how you can best help. :)

Who are the people and what do they look like. Cute guys? Are the women’s bodies like mine? Do they have the same fat in the same places as me? What color are their eyes?

Any objects that could extend into the room farther than a picture frame. Examples, bookshelves, low hanging chandeliers, mounted animal heads with antlers, plants... Any object a cane may not detect.
