Novel writing software (self.Blind)
submitted by yoyo2718
Has anyone used scrivener or something similar for novel writing? How is the accessibility? (and are you using it on a PC or Mac?) tia

Edit: I’m fairly new to screenreaders, have access to both jaws and voiceover. Does anyone else find the jaws voice to be a creativity killer when you hear it read your stuff or do you get used to it? Voiceover seems to have a better voice to me, but maybe Jaws will grow on me lol.

wow, really I don't know but I am looking for information about It too.
How the blind writers do to format and design their own documents to write novels or books? do They use adobe in design or something similar? or Word is enough for It.

You can download many of the voices available for VoiceOver to use with JAWS.

Really? I didn’t know that, where do you download them from?

In the JAWS window, there's an item in the Options menu.

This is quite a basic feature of JAWS. I recommend that you listen to the JAWS Basic Jraining (the Training item in the JAWS help menu) to learn about some other features that may assist you.
