Hey there :) I'm Pablo, a developer.
A few weeks ago, I met an intelligent, amazing and kind person even tough his problems (visually impaired, paraplegic and deaf). This guy is also studying a college career (journalism), thanks to their interpreters.
I decided that i wanted to use my knowledge to help him (and if possible more people) making computer adaptations for him.
Problems: There are so little stuff created for this kind of people. Actually, companies like ONCE (a Spanish company that helps visually impaired people) he has some things like tactile screens and some software like Zoomtext. The problem is that the programs that were given to him are not practical for him, and after that, he is said that that is the better solution that they can give to him. The same have happened with other groups such us the college center of attention to diversity, where they weren't able to give him anything else.
My objective writing this here is to hear your opinions, ideas and knowledge of previous adaptations. This week I am looking to be able to provide him with a visually adapted version of applications like telegram and gmail (having less buttons, and the text very big and clear in the center of the screen, all simplified) and providing a simple window manager to let him not worrying about finding the windows (things that are not easy for him of course)
As I told, as a developer I could be making a lot of this things, but if i could have an starting point of previous work, it would be much better.
Thanks for the attention, just looking forward to be able to help him and more people in his situation :)
