Any medical people here? (self.Blind)
submitted by HeftyCryptographer21
Hey, ya'll. I am a Deafblind university student, and I was thinking about changing my major with the hopes of doing something medical or doctor related. The only problem is that I am having a hell of a time with certain diagrams and whatnot of the anatomy. I am really enjoying and excelling in my anatomy class and was wondering if anyone here had any experience as a doctor, nurse, PA, etc. Any advice? It doesn't even have to be blind related, I am just curious.

I'd also really like to know other people experiences. It's a field I'd love to go into if I was sighted, but I had a less then stellar experience in a stats class and that really scared me off of taking anything medical related, as so much of it is surely sight based I assume. I also assume most professors would give me a "you're joking, right" reaction if I explained I wanted to take their class in certain medical classes lol.

Have you tried reaching out to the medical professional subs. My sister is a nurse I can ask her if she knows anything that can help you.
