Word press help, tips and your experiences? (self.Blind)
submitted by [deleted]
Is there anyone here very familiar with Wordpress? Asking for someone else, an older blind lady, at least I gather. It’s her first website and a major undertaking on the internet.

What is the best resources you have found on word press? Are there any good tech support groups for word press or e-mail lists? What helped you most in getting your website really popping? Someone got it online for her I suppose, so it’s about managing and using it.

What did you find the most useful in creating content. In what type of posts, configuration, and methods to attract most attention? What strategy did you use to attract the most attention and hold the most attention and get people to keep coming, invite others, and to purchases your materials. This blind woman is selling her books.

I would say SEO and a good website layout along with social media marketing.

1. SEO is called search engine optimization, you could say that whenever someone searches for buying a book or a relevant word your website would come in the first page results.
2. Most people don't like older designs and out of color contrasts and ease of payment is also a successful method
3. Social media marketing is working very rapidly these days and its easy buying ads from Facebook and if she constantly posts on Instagram it would attract the most traffic

Building a website with WordPress does take some technical ability. There are plenty of online tutorials out there but I might recommend something where the website is basically already built for her.
