Are there any accessible apps that will transcribe audio of speech to text fairly accurately? (self.Blind)

Look I'm gonna be real here I'm planning to use this for recorded college lectures to see if I can get any good notes from it at all lol. Is such a thing doable? Or am I dreaming. Thanks all.

If you're a disabled student, your college should provide you with this accommodation. If you're not, you should know that although you may find it easier to learn from text than audio, you should aim to improve this skill because you don't know what fieles you'll end up working in and what soft skills they'll require. And as you've said you want to get notes out of this, firstly having to sort through pages of text to find the most important bits isn't a good use of your time, and secondly not using notes that you wrote yourself is correlated with worse performance on exams.

But if you're insistent on doing this, you'll have better suggestions if you ask on r/deaf.

Try an app named otter.

I use it for short meetings at work. Free version will do a 40 minute recording.
You can play back the audio and it will highlight that section of the transcript for editing.
You can mark sections by person and it will tag it as speaker 1 speaker 2 or you can use names and it learns their voice.
You can export the text or audio when done.
