Coloboma? (self.Blind)
submitted by Bigtittylover662
Hey I’m legally blind and have coloboma. Does anyone else have it to and can share so experiences they’ve had with it?

Not exactly coloboma, but I do have damage to my iris that is causing widening holes. I had cataract surgery years ago and three weeks afterwards my lens slipped out of place. When they went back in, the doc sutured it to my iris. The areas around the sutures have been losing pigment, or whatnot, causing the holes. My other eye is a prosthetic. My holey eye has a bunch of other issues, but I would say that the main issues I have from the holes are super light sensitivity and more recently ghosting/double vision.

I have Coloboma in my retinas, 1 eye far worse than the other. Legally blind in my right eye.

I do actually, I’m 15 and I have double Coloboma of the iris. Just underwent 3 surgeries this year due to retinal detachment and now I’m blind in one eye and heavily impaired in the other. Though I don’t think I’m considered legally blind. I somewhat occasionally have to get around with a cane but in more familiar places I don’t need to. I’ve had some experiences but I’m not entirely sure what you mean by that. Can you specify? Also maybe change the username???

Wow, three surgeries at 15, I can't imagine what that would be like. Can I ask what your sight was like before this year? I've never heard of coloboma before but I'm reading more about it now.
