Anyone else here have RP? (self.Blind)
submitted by YALLWOLF
Just was curious if anyone on here has retinitis pigmentosa and has tried Iris vision technology? I'm 29 years old just had a newborn daughter and she is my world. I've lost almost all my vision and can't afford the $3,000 for the company's glasses. No insurance will help me. I would like more than anything to watch her grow up. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Do you find a CCTV useful? Fundamentally, these kinds of glasses operate like a portable CCTV. If a CCTV can't enlarge an image enough for you to see it in a useful sense, it is unlikely they would help.

Hi, I'm 43, was diagnosed at 16. Only just lost enough vision field to be certified 'visually impaired'. I'd never heard of that technology but I think it would be super dependant on what your remaining vision is like. That's a lot of money.
